Wendy's Wedding Dress

Summary
Wendy had been saving a picture of the "Miranda" gown by Badgley Mischka ($6250 USD) for years. When the day came for her to choose a wedding dress, she pulled out the picture and still loved it. The dress, which featured a Watteau pleat, hadn't dated at all because it was in a vintage style.
She then enlisted the help of friend and colleague, Bernice O'Shea, with whom Wendy has collaborated on many projects. Together they purchased antique French lace, silk charmeuse and crystal and glass beads. After Wendy drafted the first pattern, Bernice, who is a master at hand work, took over and completed the muslin, alterations for fit, fine hand finishing and the extensive beadwork on the bodice. Her bridesmaid, best friend Darlene, looked stunning in a celery-hued, sleeveless, empire dress with a chiffon overskirt and matching wrap.
The flower girl, niece Olivia, wore a "little girl's" version of the same dress. Both Darlene's and Olivia's dresses were drafted and constructed by Wendy.
